"I have been a professional artist for over 30 years. My favorite subject for art creation is the portraits of Tibetan people - their life and culture. I have traveled extensively through the highland of Tibet and try to use the boldest value of colors to express the different age groups of Tibetans who live on the mountains - the wonderful colors of their clothing and the Tibetan women's lifestyle. In terms of art expression, I sometimes use the techniques of oil painting and at other times, I merge the Chinese traditional painting skills with the western form of art techniques to express my feelings and love for the Tibetan culture. I always hope my paintings will encourage the audience with imagination." |
