"In my subjective presentation of the objective reality, I abstract nature while I try to draw as close as possible to its essence. The motif serves me only as information, but the aim is to create a work of art. "My motif is mostly the landscape that surrounds me, which I transform through my very own filter taking only those elements that are important for the composition. "The goal is to achieve a certain harmony and balance, that otherwise exist within Nature, which is perfect Herself. "Simply said, I try to translate natural perfection into a pictorial language." "Regardless what and how I paint, my
objective always remains the same, to achieve a harmony by the
means of basic artistic elements, such as there are color, shape,
surface, lineation and texture. Goran Bogdanovic was born in 1967 in Vlasotince, Serbia Yugoslavia. In 1992 he graduated from the College of Fine and Applied Arts in Belgrade. He has exhibited his work in Yugoslavia and Austria. Currently he is living and working in Vienna, Austria. |
