"I enjoy painting in a realistic manner. I also love to make landscape paintings by studying the infinite transformations in nature and its sparkling colors. However, what interests me more is to depict figures of my contemporary fellows, their lives and their inner feelings. I think I am able to understand some modern western artistic languages such as three dimensional spaces, superimposed structures and apply their techniques to deal with Chinese subjects which sometimes leads to some origional and unexpected effects. By busing these, I intend to create visual effects to arouse in the viewer the association of such various human emotions as happiness, joy, and fantasy."
